Seasons Change, People Change
Welcome to Processing GURPS. This site started as a landing spot and expository place for “Cry Havoc” a Twilight: 2000 TTRPG Campaign powered by GURPS. It did just that! I wrote many recaps for many sessions. But as time passed, I found that I had more to ponder beyond that one Campaign. And I found the standard I had set for myself regarding the recaps too onerous to meet and accomplish regularly. As well, a lot changed in my interactions and activities in and around the TTRPG Hobby, GURPS, Campaigns, etc. in the 2+ years since I started that Campaign and that site.

Changes
Che Webster of Roleplay Rescue and the Role Play Rescue Podcast has become a good friend, player, gamemaster and general collaborator and partner in crime. Together we host the GURPStalk Podcast, where he does all the hard stuff like editing. Discussions and experiences and collaborations with him has formulated, evolved and sharpened many ideas that I have about: TTRPGs, Immersive In Character/As Character Play, Otherworlds and GURPS. Another friend, Anthony (aka Runeslinger of the Casting Shadows Blog, the Casting Shadows Podcast and his YouTube Channel) and I have also had many back and forth discussions sharpening my thoughts about all the above (except the GURPS part…he’ll convert one day…). These discussions have me wishing to share ruminations and thoughts regarding these activities, discussions and experiences.
At my current tables, much has changed. I have a Saturday group I GM for (once every two weeks) a Sunday group I GM for (once every two weeks) and I play in Che’s Karameikos Campaign powered by GURPS on the Saturday I am not GMing. My Saturday table is beginning a new Conspiracy-laden, Suspended Animation-kickoff Post-Apocalyptic Unknown Otherworld Campaign soon called “ASCEND-NA” (Accelerated Societal and Civilizational Evolution Networked Directorates-North America). My Sunday Table just ended the aforementioned “Cry Havoc” Campaign (I want to talk about that) and will be beginning a Talislanta powered by GURPS Campaign in the second half of February in a Known Otherworld and I want to talk about that. I want to talk about all the thought and implications of all these things, and have dialogues with other people interested in such things. So that is what I want to do here.
Method
So this is the just the start. You see the new menus above. We have “Process.” This will be mainly for big stuff about play and enabling “In Character/As Character” longform play in an Otherworld. “Otherworlds” will be about those alternate realities that form the background and grounding for such play, and the ins and outs of them. “GURPSstuff” will focus mainly on my system of choice, as well as some GM and other tips to enable this kind of play. “Campaigns” will be discussions about things happening at my tables or those I play at. “Recaps” for recaps of sessions. “Talk” if for sharing GURPStalk episodes, any talk I have about them, talk I may have about other people’s content. “Feedback & Friends” is a static page for links to all sorts of people I and things I use regularly. “Archive” is for the old “Cry Havoc”-centric stuff (which I may link to).
Anyway. Onwards! Let’s be Heroes! Just for one day.
